Shri Maharaj ji

सुश्री ब्रज मंजरी जी का जन्म पकिस्तान के मुल्तान नामक शहर में हुआ तत्पश्चात उनका परिवार आगरा में निवास करने लगा | यदपि इस जन्म में परिवार द्वारा इन्हे भक्ति का कोई वातावरण नहीं प्राप्त हुआ, किन्तु फिर भी श्री कृष्ण प्रेम के स्वाभाविक संस्कार इनमे इतने प्रबल थे की एक बार वे घर छोड़ कर वृन्दावन भी गयीं | कुछ दिन वहा रह कर वे लौटीं और पढ़ाई पूर्ण की | 

मंजरी जी ब्रज सहचरी जी के कॉलेज में संस्कृत (MA) की छात्रा थीं | वे देखती की सहचरी जी कॉलेज की बस लेकर कही जातीं है | उनके पूछने पर सहचरी जी ने बताया की वे उनके गुरु जी के सत्संग में जाती है | ये सुनते ही मंजरी जी के प्रसुप्त संस्कार मानो अकस्मात् जागृत हुए | मानो इन्हे भगवद कृपा से अपने गुरु के दर्शन का आंतरिक आमंत्रण प्राप्त हुआ | 

आगरा में सन १९५८ में इन्होने श्री महाराज जी के प्रथम बार दर्शन किये | श्री महाराज जी ने इन्हे प्रथम दर्शन में ही इशारा किया की वे उन्हें प्रचारक बनाएंगे | उन्होंने ये भी बताया की संस्कृत में MA करने की प्रेरणा उन्होंने ही दी थी | 

मसूरी में सन १९६५ में श्री महाराज जी ने मंजरी जी को प्रचारिका बनाया | इनका पूर्व नाम था 'शकुंतला सरदाना' | नियमित रूप से प्रचारक बनने के पूर्व ही महाराज जी के आदेशानुसार वे प्रवचन देती थीं | ब्रह्माण्ड घाट सन १९६४ में भी इनके प्रवचन हुए | इनके प्रवचन में ये विशेषता थी की इनका प्रत्येक प्रवचन श्री महाराज जी जैसा ही होता था | जो श्री महाराज जी बोलते, वो वैसा ही उसको दोहरातीं | अपनी ओर से एक वाक्य तक नहीं निकलता | 

इनके प्रवचन अत्यंत प्रभावशाली होते थे | एक बार किसी शहर में श्री महाराज जी के प्रवचन हो रहे थे | प्रवचन के एक दिन श्री महाराज का गला ख़राब हुआ | उन्होंने अपनी जगह मंजरी जी को बोलने का आदेश दिया | प्रवचन के पश्चात प्रेमानंद जी (ब्रज किशोरी जी के पिता) किसी काम से बाज़ार गए | वहा लोगों ने उन्हें पहचाना और कहा "बुरा न मने लेकिन देवी जी अपने गुरु जी से अच्छा बोलती हैं" | ये बात उन्होंने महाराज जी से कही | महाराज जी प्रसन्नता पूर्वक बोले "बाप को ख़ुशी होती ही है जब बेटा अधिक काबिल हो जाये !" मंजरी जी कुछ शरमाई |

मंजरी जी के माद्यम से श्री महाराज जी को कई अंतरंग भक्त व प्रचारक प्राप्त हुए हैं | अब अधिकतर वे मनगढ़ धाम में रह कर भक्तों की रसोई का पर्यवेक्षण करतीं हैं | यदा कदा अपने क्षेत्र में प्रचार हेतु अब भी जाती हैं || 

Sushri Braj Manjari Ji was born in Multan, Pakistan. After the partition of India, her family moved to Agra. In this life, she was never exposed to any devotional atmosphere however, her past sanskars were so strong that once she ran away from home and lived in Vrindavan for some time. 

Upon returning, she completed her BA degree and started her MA in Sanskrit. She used to study in Braj Sahachary Ji's college. She noticed that Sahachary Ji would often take the college busses in the evening. One day, she asked her. Sahachary Ji told her about Shri Maharaj Ji. Merely hearing about Maharaj Ji's personality forcibly attracted her. She insisted on meeting Shri Maharaj Ji. 

In Agra in 1958, Manjari Ji first met Shri Maharaj Ji. Upon this first meeting, Shri Maharaj Ji indicated to her that she will become a preacher. He also told her that it was becasue of His internal inspiration that she had decided to pursue her Master's in Sanskrit. 

1965 in Mussoorie, Shri Maharaj Ji formally appointed Manjari Ji as His preacher. Prior to this, her name was Shakuntala Sardana. According to Shri Maharaj Ji's instructions, Manjari Ji used to preach before formally being appointed. She has even given lectures at the 1964 Brahmand Ghat sadhana program alongside Shri Maharaj Ji and a couple other preachers. Her lectures had a very unique quality; she would speak exactly as Maharaj Ji, down to every word. She would not utter a word in any speech, which had not been spoken by Shri Maharaj Ji. Due to this, her lectures were immensely powerful. 

Once Shri Maharaj Ji's lecture series were going on in some city. One of the days, Maharaj Ji fell ill and instructed Manjari Ji to speak on His behalf. In those days, Premanand Ji (Braj Kishori Ji's father) was Shri Maharaj Ji's secretary. He went to the market for some work. The people recognized him and said "Please don't mind, but Didi Ji speaks better than her Guru Ji". Premanand Ji came and told this to Maharaj Ji. Maharaj Ji smiled and said "A father is happy if his child becomes more qualified that him!". Upon hearing this, Manjari Ji blushed. 

Through Manjari Ji's lectures, many close devotees and preachers have come into the association of Shri Maharaj Ji. Nowadays, she resides in Mangarh and is fully devoted in her seva of overlooking the entire ashram kitchen. Once in a while, she also travels to various cities to preach. Her personality is very calm and reserved.
