- Human body is designed for continuous activity
- The least we can do is 30 to 45 minutes exercise for 3 days a week
- Body works on one principle :- Use it or loose it
- Without exercise we loose our bone density and muscles and loosing it is called ageing.
- Driving a car without bothering about which fuel is put insie?
- Same as “ as long as you exercise , its ok to eat whatever you want.
- Exercise is a part of adopting a better lifestyle but it is not an alternative to eating right.
- Crash diets dangerous- As we loose weight because the lean body weight comes down while fat body weight remains same or increases. One KG Cotton and One KG Iron weigh the same but looks different.
- Weight is no indicator of fitness levels.
- Greater lean body weight (Bone and Muscles) greater is the fat burning capacity.
- Ideal fat percentages should be under 20% for men and 25% for Women
- BMI only considers weight and not the contribution of fat weight to total weight
- DXA scans tells the fat weight.
- Fat free Junk food is still a Junk
- Sweetners actually increases craving for calorie dense foods.
- Cancer more likely in people with stress, little or no exercise and whose diets are poor in nutrients but rich in calories
- Don’t replace regular meals with any One Super Food. All foods provide us with specific Nutrients
- Care for your Stomachs just as Heart lungs and brains
- If we want to get toned, muscular and poplar ad then we need to establish a good relationship with our stomach
- Hippocrates (460-357BC) the father of medicine-"let food be the medicine and let medicine be the food". the former part is for sick and latter for healthy.
- For the healthy, natural foods are the means of freedom from disease.
- There is hardly a health problem or natural bodily process that is not influenced in some or the other by the food we eat.
